BRABUS has revealed the “BRABUS 800 Black & Gold Edition†model based on the current Mercedes-AMG G 63, which should particularly stand out with its exquisite equipment. The 588 kW / 800 PS and 1,000 Nm engine also offers enough power to sprint to the 100 km / h mark in 4.1 seconds.[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”8″ display=”basic_thumbnail” thumbnail_crop=”0″]
BRABUS 800 BLACK & GOLD EDITION
In keeping with the name of the special model, the body of the BRABUS 800 BLACK & GOLD EDITION is painted black. In addition, matching the interior, there are gold-colored brake calipers and gold-colored BRABUS emblems and lettering. The look of the vehicle is also characterized by the BRABUS WIDESTAR wide version. It makes the current G-Model appear even more powerful and at the same time makes this exclusive off-road vehicle ten centimeters wider than the production car. In addition to the fender flares, this body conversion also includes special aprons at the front and rear, which give this supercar an even more dynamic design. This also includes the side air outlets behind the front fender flares in this matt black edition and the middle parts of the front and rear aprons, which are also painted matt black.[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”9″ display=”basic_thumbnail” thumbnail_crop=”0″]
The BRABUS 800 BLACK & GOLD EDITION also includes individual accents such as the two gold-colored struts in the radiator grille or the design elements in glossy carbon fiber such as the bonnet attachment or the LED light element above the windscreen. The widenings of this bodywork make room for the forged BRABUS Monoblock Y “PLATINUM EDITION†alloy wheels in king size format 11Jx23 all around. These bikes with nine spokes tapering to the outer rim in the shape of a “Y” are painted gold-colored to match the type designation and marked with a “GOLD PLATINUM” badge on the outer horn as a high-end forged wheel. The 305/35 R 23 Advan Sport high-performance tires come from BRABUS technology partner YOKOHAMA.[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”10″ display=”basic_thumbnail” thumbnail_crop=”0″]
INTERIOR WITH BLACK LEATHER WITH GOLD-COLORED ELEMENTS
The interior designers of the refiner also created a particularly exclusive BRABUS fine leather interior for this supercar. Matching the body painting, black leather dominates the interior, which has been accented with gold-colored BRABUS labels and numerous elements such as controls, ventilation nozzles, loudspeaker grilles or panels that are glazed in gold. This noble interior also demonstrates the attention to detail in the BRABUS saddlery: a typical example of this is the shell-shaped quilting of the seats and parts of the door panels. All these leather parts are additionally perforated to the millimeter and also fascinate with the gold-colored fabric that shimmers through the perforation and thus lives the BRABUS 800 BLACK & GOLD EDITION motto down to the last detail.
High-gloss sealed carbon panels in the cockpit emphasize the sporty design of this special model. Other exclusive BRABUS elements in the interior are the pedals and door locking pins made of aluminum as well as the stainless steel door sills with the illuminated BRABUS logo. In the rear, the standard rear seat bench is replaced by the BRABUS interior designers with two single seats with numerous comfort functions such as multi-contour adjustment, memory and integrated seat ventilation and heating.[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”11″ display=”basic_thumbnail” thumbnail_crop=”0″]
Between the two rear seats there is space for the BRABUS center console, which was specially developed for the current G-Class and, true to the BRABUS 800 BLACK & GOLD EDITION label, has been given black leather and gold-colored elements. It not only serves as a comfortable armrest for the passengers in the rear: the BRABUS Touch Control Panel in 4.3-inch format was inserted on the top with an optimal reach, which shows a clock with BRABUS 800 illustration in standby mode. In addition to controlling various seat functions in the rear, this innovative control element also allows control of the front passenger seat, above all to provide more legroom.
The standard COMAND system of the G-Class can also be accessed via this panel. The sound system can be turned down or louder from the rear, or muted. The reading lights and the starry sky in the roof cladding can also be controlled with this control element. A smartphone or tablet can be connected to the COMAND system via a USB multimedia interface, which is conveniently inserted at the top of the console, and of course can also be supplied with charging current. Two cupholders cool or heat the drinks of the rear passengers. Another important feature of the console is the integrated safe compartment. Only after entering a code on the touch control panel does this drawer open electrically towards the front.
800 HP FOR THE 4 LITER 8 CYLINDER BI-TURBO
But the BRABUS 800 BLACK & GOLD EDITION special model not only impresses with its exciting look and exclusive features, but also with pure high performance. After installing two high-performance turbochargers and other modifications, the BRABUS 800 four-liter eight-cylinder biturbo engine produces a peak output of 588 kW / 800 hp at 6,600 rpm. Simultaneously, the maximum torque increases by 150 Nm: With just 3,600 tours, an impressive 1,000 Nm are available.
From a standing start, the new BRABUS supercar catapults itself to 100 km / h in just 4.1 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 240 km / h. The BRABUS stainless steel sports exhaust system with two black chromed tailpipes in the side pipe design on each side of the vehicle offers, thanks to the integrated flap control, an electronically controlled sound management with either a discrete “Coming Home” mode or a sporty V8 sound.
The BRABUS 800 BLACK & GOLD EDITION is offered at a recommended retail price from 453,000 euros (price including 19 percent VAT in Germany).
