The days of spending a couple-hundred thousand on an exotic car are far behind us.
A 1995 McLaren F1 sold for a record $20.45 million and change at an auction. Although the F1 is a storied line of McLaren sports cars, only 64 of this particular model were ever made.
The vehicle was initially purchased by a Japanese collector, but changed hands a couple of times to other collectors, who kept the car in meticulous condition.
What’s more impressive, is this rare F1 has less than 250 miles, so this vehicle is definitely meant to be on display, rather than being driven.
